She also worked for over ten years at Grove Hill Medical Center with a private practice in the Psychiatry department until leaving for Arizona. Dorothy also leaves two grandchildren, her joys, Corey Coburn, formerly of Phoenix, AZ, and Samantha Baird, both residing in Kensington. In lieu of flowers, Dorothy has requested that a memorial donation in her name be made to either First Church of Christ, New Britain, the American Cancer Association, or AIDS Action or Research.

  2. In the picture which says to see text 1 for those pictured –
The back row from left to right are:
John Jepson, May Adams, Alvin Jepson, Minnie L. Metcalf (housekeeper for Ruth & Charles Sr.), Nina Roberts
The front row from left to right:
Joan Deming, Ruth Jepson, Cathy Deming, Charles Deming Jr, Eunice Cooley, one of John Jepson’s daughters – name unknown, Dorothy Cooley
Minnie L Metcalf was Nina Robert’s domestic. When the elder Demings (Nina & Vernon) moved in with the younger Demings (Charles Sr. & Ruth), Minnie came along. It is apparent that Minnie was more of a companion than an employee. She is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Douglas, MA with the rest of the family.
When Charles Deming Jr. married Eunice Cooley and Cathy Deming was born, there were 4 generations under one roof.
