When in San Francisco, I incurred the wrath of FasTrak, the high priest of carpool lanes and bridge tolls. They said I evaded a toll for $2.05 and I would have to pay that amount plus a $25 penalty. I mailed them a check for $2.05 and stated that if their signage or collections or whatever was sufficient I would have paid; that I certainly did not willfully evade a $2 fee. They cashed my check and now they want an additional $70. I attempted to email FasTrak and have received no reply. Fastrak does not answer their advertised phone number. I now wish I would have kept the $2, because I am going to take my chances with interstate prosecution.
