    HOLMEN/GALESVILLE — Bert F. Trocinski Jr., 85, of Holmen and formerly of Galesville passed away peacefully Monday, June 11, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health Systems Franciscan Skemp Healthcare, La Crosse, Wis.

    He was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Dakota, Minn., to Bert and Maud (Snider) Trocinski Sr. Bert hauled milk, farmed, drove truck and owned Trocinski Trucking. Bert married Joyce Hertzfeldt on Nov. 11, 1950, and they later divorced. On July 26, 1963, he married Ardith Hiller.

    Survivors are a son, Virgil (Wanda) Trocinski of Galesville; a daughter, Naomi of Arizona; a stepdaughter, Nancy Wright of Kenoska, Wis.; a stepson, John Hiller of Denver, Colo; four grandchildren, Lee Trocinski, Amy (Patrick) Monson, Melanie Johnson, Christine Eagle; a stepgrandchild, Nichole Wright; three sisters, Mildred Larson of Kenosha, Ardis Jorgenson of Sparta, Faye (Charlie) Harris of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, Lowell (Bonnie) Trocinski of La Crosse; a sister-in-law, Irene Trocinski of Holmen; and a brother-in-law, Albert Kunert of La Crosse.

    Bert was preceded in death by his wife, Ardith Trocinski; his parents; two sons, Darrell and infant, Darrin; infant twin brothers, Virgil and Victor Trocinski, brother, Don Trocinski; a sister, Violet Kunert; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Trocinski; and two brothers-in-law, Alfred Jorgenson and Anton Larson.

    Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012, from Zion Lutheran Church, Galesville, with the Rev. Bryant Haney officiating. Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the church.

    Zwickey Funeral Homes, Galesville Chapel assisted the family.

    The family wishes to thank Dr. Dennis Ohlrogge and the Mayo Clinic Health Systems Franciscan Healthcare ICU staff for the excellent and compassionate care Bert received during his final days there. We also want to thank his home healthcare givers, Sue, May, Brittany Faith and neighbor Jim. They took excellent care of Bert.
