We spent 4 to 5 hours driving through Vancouver looking for a vision Cathy had of bed & breakfast on a beach. This is a major metropolitan area. The development goes on for miles and miles and miles. We never did find a beach or anything other than more traffic and congestion. It appears to me that this solid development continues at least to the north end of the passage formed by Vancouver Island. We gave up and went back south to find a place to stay. There are a few breaks between Bellingham, WA and Vancouver where there isn’t solid development – but not many and not large. A real disappointment.
