Woke up this AM, grabbed my computer and went up to the fantail for coffee. We are approaching Juneau up a fjord. This is so damn beautiful, it is breathtaking. Coniferous covered mountains on either side less than 100 yards away. Streaks of fog and clouds against those mountains and an overcast sky. Waterfalls and streams cascading everywhere. Mysterious and gorgeous everywhere.
Juneau is really small. It’s hard to believe this is a state capital. The Alaska state offices building is smaller than the Weld County Courthouse complex. We walked around town for a while and had a beer in the Red Dog Saloon.
