We docked in Skagway last night. This town is tiny. I’m guessing less than a thousand in population. This town has one road out to Whitehorse, but that’s better than many of these towns which are accessible only by water. If they’re lucky, they can manage room for an airport also, such as Juneau. Who ever heard of state capital with no roads leading to it? The only reason Skagway has a road is that it was a major gateway into the gold rush into the Yukon in 1898.
We did walk around town, but the overcast and fog is a little much.
